What Veli is
Veli is a family navigation tool that helps Minnesota families understand and access disability-related services for their children. Veli provides informational guidance only and is not a legal, medical, or therapeutic service.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. During onboarding you provide your county, your child's age, your current stage in the process, and which services you are currently accessing. You may also enter names, phone numbers, and email addresses for members of your service team, and dates you choose to track.
How we use it
We use this information solely to personalize your experience in Veli — to show you relevant checklists, county contacts, provider information, and deadlines. We do not use your information for marketing. We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party.
How it's stored
Your account and data are stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant cloud database platform. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Children's privacy
Veli is designed for use by parents and guardians, not children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from minors. Information you enter about your child (such as their age or current services) is used only to customize your navigation experience and is never shared.
FERPA
Veli does not access, store, or transmit any educational records. Any information you enter into Veli about your child's school services is entered voluntarily by you and is not sourced from or shared with any school district or educational institution.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We will complete deletion requests within 30 days.
